Testing at the UK’s only 400ft testing tower

On the 3rd July 2018, M Wright and Sons Development Department visited the only UK 400 foot testing tower.

The tower is used primarily for lift testing, but also has the capability to test safety devices in accordance with European and American standards. Towers of this nature are few and far between, there is only one other tower in Europe.

We are exceptionally fortunate to have this close to our base of operations, and also to have customers working with us to support our product development. Watching testing in progress is vital in understanding how fibres, yarns and weaves interact and affect a finished item in order to corroborate our internal findings and to further improve our offerings.
